College Football Is Alive And Well, On MISPORTS-TV(c)!

March 16, 2020

Ypsilanti, MI –

Thanks to the technology of video giant YouTube(tm) and the global reach of the Internet, college football can again be enjoyed in living color and vibrant action as MISPORTS-TV(c) will be featuring some of the best matchups of the 2019 football season that most…football fans missed because the media giant coverage was only on the 2 largest football campuses in the state.

However, due to the national health crisis, a lot of people are or may soon be unable to go to work because of conditions outside of their control.

So, to fill the void that our sports fans are going through, we will be offering a VOD presentation of “Great Games That You Might Have Missed”! With no spoilers on the results!

This Week’s Game features Alma College traveling to Albion MI to face-off with Albion College.

Albion Football Hands Eureka (Ill) First Defeat Of 2019 Season 56 – 41

September 21, 2019

From GOBRITS.COM

ALBION, Mich. – With Justin Thomas hauling in four touchdown passes – an Albion College single-game record – it’s hard to believe Albion College had to grind out a victory over Eureka College at Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Eureka had to settle for a pair of field goals in the fourth quarter as Albion pulled out a 56-41 victory in its final tune up prior to the start of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action on Oct. 5.

It was a see-saw type of game where the score was tied three times and the lead changed three times.

Albion finally took the lead for good when Thomas streaked up the hash marks to haul in a 42-yard pass from his brother, Kyle, to make the score 42-35 late in the third quarter.

A holding penalty erased what would have been a Eureka touchdown to tie the score. Jeremiah Major wrapped up Eureka quarterback Drew Barth for a 4-yard loss on third down from the Albion 12-yard line. The Red Devils settled for a 33-yard field goal to cut the Albion lead to 42-38.

Sept. 7, 2019

From GoBrits.Com

ALBION, Mich. – Markell McCoy rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown and the defense allowed just 153 total yards as Albion College opened the football season with a 56-6 victory over Defiance College.

Kyle Thomas threw a pair of touchdown passes – 7 yards to Kolby Canfield and 11 yards to Isaiah Gibson – and the Britons recovered a blocked punt in the end zone as Albion opened up a 21-0 first half lead.

Thomas threw his third touchdown pass of the night in the third quarter – a 26-yard connection with his brother, Justin – and Donovan Slates later returned an interception 50 yards for a score.

McCoy, Ryan Roberts and Phillip Jones-Price scored rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Slates led the defense with 10 tackles, while Mitchell Arendsen was credited with 3 ½ tackles for loss.

Albion will hit the road next weekend, visiting Franklin College for a 6 p.m. game.
